DC Mokokchung reiterates on conducting election-related activities

 

Mokokchung, February 15 (MTNews): The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS has notified all concerned candidates for the 14th General Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 under Mokokchung District that it has come to the notice of his office that prior permission was not taken for conducting any political rally/meetings/ procession/ use of vehicles/ loudspeaker, etc., therefore, he reiterated and reminded to all the contesting candidates and political parties to obtain due permission for vehicles campaign, rallies, processions, and meeting, etc from the DEO/RO concerned to ensure smooth and peaceful process pertaining to the Election. He also informed that no election office/camp etc shall be set up without the due authorization from the appropriate authority.

 

Further, it was informed that conducting any election-related activity without prior permission or submission of false/wrong information will amount to breaching the model code of conduct and invite penalties as per the related provisions of the law.

 

 

DEO Mokokchung exempts officials from election duty on medical grounds

 

The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh IAS has notified all concerned that the applicants so mentioned in Annexure-A has been exempted from election duty on medical grounds as recommended by the Medical Board after due examination on February 13 at ADC Planning Hall, Mokokchung.
The remaining personnel whose case for exemption has not been recommended have been asked to compulsorily attend all training for the performance of election duties, failure of which shall invite appropriate disciplinary action as per relevant sections of the Election law.

 

 

ECI declares poll day a local holiday

Mokokchung, February 15 (MTNews): forthcoming Assembly Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the Election Commission of India (ECI) through a press release has declared the poll day i.e. February 27 is a local holiday.

 

 

CEO informs on political parties star campaigners

 

 

In the run up to the forthcoming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, General Election 2023, the Chief Electoral Office has informed all the political parties’ presidents to submit the list of their star campaigners.

 

As of now, according to the CEO Nagaland, 11(Eleven) political parties have submitted a list of 299 star campaigners and their name list is available with the CEO’s office.

 

The number of star campaigners of political parties are as follows; BJP – 40; NDPP – 40; NPF – 40, NPP- 40; INC- 37; NEDF- 20; JD (united) – 20; RJD – 20; NCP – 18; LJP (Ram vilas) – 15 and RPP – 9. All the political parties have been informed to adhere to the guidelines of the ECI in regards to the above.
