ABAM Music Ministry hosts first-ever Zone I music festival at Impur

Organised under the leadership of ABAM Music Coordinator Asenla Longchar, the festival featured choirs from Alempang, Chakpa, Chuchuyimpang, Impur, Longjang, Longjang Compound, Longkong, Longmisa, Longpa, Süngkomen, Tzüsapang and Yisemyong Baptist Associations.

The festival aimed to glorify God through collective voices, proclaim the Gospel through music, strengthen fellowship among churches and choirs, and encourage younger generations to carry forward the ministry of music.

Addressing the gathering, ABAM Executive Secretary Rev. Temsü Jamir reminded choir members that singing in church is “more than a performance” and is a sacred calling to lead God’s people into genuine worship. He urged them to approach the ministry with humility, devotion and spiritual preparedness.

He also called for vibrant, Spirit-filled and Christ-centred worship, stressing that choirs have an important role alongside pastors in awakening hearts and leading congregations into authentic worship.

The festival concluded as a celebration of unity, fellowship and music as a ministry of worship, witness and spiritual formation.
