Impur, April 29 (MTNews): The 3rd orientation course for full-time church leaders under the aegis of the ABAM organized by ABAM Church and Mission was successfully held at Impur from April 25 – 29, 2022. Having learned the theoretical framework of the ministry in different institutions, the need for the holistic exploration of the ministry for the new leaders of the church becomes inevitable and for which this course was designed, an update from ABAM Impur said. Some of the key objectives for this course are: To avail them of the practical implications of the ministry, explore the uniformity in the ministerial patterns, have a better understanding of the ministerial perspective of ABAM and the local churches, and have the doctrinal consistencies in all the churches.

 

“Today, the churches and the fellowships under the aegis of ABAM stand un- separated in both teachings and administration, and for which we praise God,” the update read. As a course, all the attendees were conferred with a certificate of completion by ABAM. The program ended with the church leaders taking the oath to remain faithful in all circumstances.
Speakers during the programme were: Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, Executive Secretary, ABAM; Rev. L. Yapang Mollier, Secretary, ABAM Church & Mission; Rev. Dr. Temsü S. Pastor Alempang BA; Rev. I. Wati Jamir, Pastor, DABA; Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor, MTBA; Dr. I. Lolen Imchen, Pastor, Mangmetong BA; Dr. Moa Imsong, Counselor, DABA; and Rev. Jongpong Pastor, Mopungchuket BA.

 

Altogether 77 full-time church leaders from 31 churches attended the course. “As ABAM continues with the same orientation course in the coming years for church leaders, ABAM entreats that the grace and love of God be with ABAM and all the local churches,” the ABAM update said.
