Additional Deputy Commissioner of Mangkolemba, T. Lankonsen Tsanglao has informed all villages under Mangkolemba Sub-Division that hunting of all kinds has been outlawed under the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, and that the killing of migratory birds such as the famed Amur Falcon passing through the sub-division will attract penal action.
Further, the village council chairmen have been directed to report incidents of such nature if occurred in their respective jurisdiction to the concerned department.
