Mokokchung, 6 March (MTNews): In pursuance to the State Election Commission Notification dated 4 March 2024, the Administrator & ERO Mokokchung Municipal Council, Chumlamo Humtsoe has notified to all concerned that a Special Summary Revision of the Electoral Roll for Mokokchung Municipal Council shall be taken up with reference to 1 January 2024 as the qualifying date.
As per the schedule for the Special Summary Revision, it was informed that the draft publication of Electoral Roll will be on 8 March 2024; period for lodging claims and objections will be from 11 to 20 March 2024; period for disposal of claims and objections will be from 21 to 27 March 2024; period for filing appeal to the Appellate Authority will be from 28 March to 3 April 2024; disposal of claims and objections by the Appellate Authority will be from 4 to 6 April 2024; preparation of list of amendments after the decision of the Appellate Authority will be from 8 to 10 April 2024; and final publication of Electoral Roll will be on 12 April 2024.
Further, pursuant upon the state election commission notification dated 4 March 2024, the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung shall be the Appellate Authority for disposing of appeals during the conduct of the special summary revision of the electoral roll for Mokokchung Municipal Council.
No enumerators, supervisors or sector magistrates etc shall be appointed for the conduct of the special summary revision. Therefore, concerned individual claimants/objector have been informed to apply directly to the office of the Administrator & ERO at Sadar Branch, 2nd floor, office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung for inclusion, deletion etc.
