Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Mokokchung conduct trainings and capacity building programs in various villages

Chuchuyimlang Block
ATMA Mokokchung, Chuchuyimlang Block conducted demonstration and capacity building program at Chakpa village on 19th April, 2022 with Tangit Longkumer, ATM as the resource person. Capacity building on “Post-harvest management of horticultural crops” was delivered by Chubaienla Jamir, ATM. Altogether, 25 farmers attended the program. Packaging materials, preservatives and seeds were distributed to the farmers.

Changtongya Block
A demonstration on “Cultivation practices of Cucumber” was conducted at Liroyim village, Mokokchung on 21st April 2022 with Toshirenla T Longkumer, ATM, Changtongya Block as the resource person.

Meanwhile, another demonstration on “Cultivation practices of Pole beans” was also conducted with Tajungsola Jamir, ATM, Changtongya Block as resource person. Altogether 11 farmers attended the demonstration program. Inputs such as seeds and bio-pesticides were distributed to each farmer.

Demonstrations on “Cultivation practices of Ridge gourd” and “Cultivation practices of Bitter gourd” was conducted at Yaongyimsen village, Mokokchung on 20th April 2022 withTajungsola Jamir, ATM, Changtongya Block as resource person. Altogether 22 farmers attended the demo program where inputs like seeds and bio-pesticides were distributed to each farmer.

Kobulong Block
ATMA Mokokchung, Kobulong Block conducted a demonstration on Organic Production of Okra (ladies’ fingers) on 21st April 2022 at Longjang village with C. Amongla Jamir, Block Technology Manager, ATMA as resource person. At the end of the program, seeds and Neem oil were distributed to the farmers. Altogether 11 farmers attended the program.

A capacity building program on cultivation technology of oyster mushroom production techniques for Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs)/Commodity Interest Groups (CIGs) on 21st April 2022 at community hall, Longjang village where Nuksungingla Jamir, Assistant Technology Manager, ATMA imparted hands-on training on methods of cultivation of Oyster mushroom. Mushroom spawns and polybags were distributed to the participants. Altogether 14 participants from four FIGs/CIGs attended the program.

A demonstration on good agricultural practice of chilli farming was conducted on 21st April 2022 at Longjang village with Moanaro, Assistant Technology Manager, ATMA as resource person. Seeds and Neemoil were distributed to the farmers. Altogether 13 farmers attended the programme.

Mangkolemba Block
ATMA Mokokchung, Mangkolemba Block, conducted a Capacity Building cum Demonstration program at Changki village and Mangkolemba Town on 20th April, 2022. Capacity building on “Waste Decomposer” was conducted by resource person Alemnungla Longkumer, ATM, Mangkolemba Block. Resource person, Rongsenrenla Longkumer, ATM, Mangkolemba Block conducted demonstration on “Cultivation Practices of Bitter Gourd”. She also demonstrated on the “Cultivation practices of Okra”. All together 33 farmers attended the program. Seeds, seedling trays, compost mixture (Anapurna),waste decomposer, 50 litre plastic drum bucket and jaggery were distributed to the farmers.
