Mokokchung, 19 February (MTNews): A launching ceremony for a professional tailoring skills program under AISECT (All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology) Nagaland took place on Monday, 19 February 2024 at Jubilee Memorial College, Mokokchung. AISECT, known for its expertise in electronics and computer technology, also offers training programs in tailoring and electrician skills. Notably, the course is partially funded by IDAN (Investments and Development Authority of Nagaland).

A total of 30 trainees successfully registered for the tailoring training course, reflecting a keen interest in acquiring valuable skills. During the event, Dr Imtiwati Jamir, Principal of Jubilee Memorial College, emphasized the significance of possessing tailoring skills, encouraging individuals to be self-reliant in basic stitching and sewing rather than depending on others.
Toloto Awomi, Project Director, shared valuable insights and future prospects related to the tailoring sector, motivating and inspiring the trainees to excel in their chosen field. The launching program was headed by Assistant Professor Tsungrosenla Jamir and saw the participation of trainers and members associated with AISECT.
