Aliba village is abuzz with excitement as preparations are underway for the highly anticipated 3rd Cucumber Festival, slated to take place on May 10, 2024. However, in a departure from tradition, this year’s festivities will be condensed into a single day, as revealed by Temjentola, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, to Mokokchung Times.
While the announcement has sparked curiosity among villagers and festival enthusiasts alike, Temjentola stressed that the finer details of the event are yet to be finalized. Additionally, she noted that this year, organizers have opted to impose some limitations on the festival, citing previous challenges in meeting customer demand due to supply constraints.
However, as always, the festival will offer an array of handicrafts and culinary delights alongside the star attraction of cucumbers.
