Mokokchung, February 17 (MTNews): Owning to a spate of recent unfortunate incidents in Bangalore, the offices of the Ao Senso Telongjem Bangalore (ASTB) and Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Bangalore (AKTB) has issued a reminder, requesting all the Ao parents and guardians, for the welfare of their wards who are based in Bangalore, “to immediately enroll with either AKTB or ASTB.”
“Since we are all living in a far off land, during emergencies like hospitalizations or unfortunate deaths, ASTB and the AKTB becomes the first point of contact for assistance and coordination with the concerned authorities, fellow Naga tribe unions or families,” ASTB President, Sunep Imsong, and AKTB President, Kikayangla, said in a joint statement. “When such aforementioned incidents occur, non-enrollment of names poses a massive challenge for ASTB and AKTB, as the officials and members have to make proper verifications, contact the families and concerned authorities, and move from pillar to post just to complete simple formalities,” the joint statement explained.
“As such, we earnestly request the parents and guardians to advice their wards to immediately enroll with either AKTB or ASTB, if they haven’t done so already, so that we can continue to help each other in terms of sorrow and need and also celebrate together in joyous occasions,” the joint statement further said.
