The healthcare benefits were formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on Saturday between the hospital and the Ao Kaketshir Telongjem Guwahati (AKTG). The offer will be available to the Ao community at large, subject to the hospital’s policies and terms and conditions.

The collaboration also includes ensuring the availability and safe storage of blood within Apollo Excelcare Hospital, a step aimed at significantly strengthening healthcare support for the Ao community in Guwahati.

Speaking at the event, Watilong T Jamir, the President of AKTG, expressed his sincere gratitude to the Apollo Excelcare Hospital management for responding to the pressing healthcare needs of the Ao community. Jamir said that this initiative comes at a crucial time when the Ao community has been in dire need of accessible and reliable healthcare solutions.

Thaomunglung, the Chief Operating Officer of Apollo Excelcare Hospital, reiterated the hospital’s commitment to supporting the Ao community, particularly its students, in every possible way. He assured that the hospital’s management team would work closely with AKTG to foster cooperation and unity, with the ultimate aim of improving the health and well-being of the community.

This initiative was conceived in 2022 under the leadership of Adv Noklensangyu Pongen. Over the years, Adv Pongen, Dr Lipok Jamir, Rev Dr Toshirenba Pongen along with Jamir and other leaders, have worked diligently to bring the collaboration to fruition.

“This partnership is expected to not only improve access to medical services but also act as a model for future collaborations aimed at uplifting the Ao community. AKTG is hopeful that this step will pave the way for additional initiatives that address the diverse needs of its members, ensuring that they are supported in every possible way,” an update from the AKTG said.

Your idea is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not sufficient individuals are speaking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled across this in my seek for something relating to this.

  2. Thank you for the sensible critique. Me & my neighbor were just preparing to do some research about this. We got a grab a book from our area library but I think I learned more clear from this post. I am very glad to see such great information being shared freely out there.
