Our education system remains stuck in a primitive stage where students are simply memorizing historical lessons about the 18th-century Industrial Revolution in Europe, all in order to scrape through an outdated examination system.

 

In order to prepare for the 4IR, it is important to develop the skills and knowledge that will be in demand in the new economy. This includes learning about new technologies, such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and blockchain, as well as developing soft skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Can we even imagine that our schools are skilling our students adequately enough to prepare them for the 4IR, ensuring that they are well-positioned to succeed in the new economy?
