The Arju Centre Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, operating under the aegis of the Nagaland Education Mission Society, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, convened an Activity Review Meeting for the academic year 2023-2024 at Whispering Winds, Mokokchung. The meeting aimed to assess and enhance the educational initiatives undertaken by the 12 Arju Centres, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM) said in a press release.

The diligent efforts of the Arju Centres were acknowledged and applauded by the esteemed Jury Board, comprising Sentinenla DEO, Mokokchung, S. Arenla Longkumer, President of Watsu Mungdang, and P. Tiatemsu Mollier, Associate Professor, FAC. Longjang Arju Centre secured the 1st prize, with Warumong Arju Centre and Mongsenyimti Arju Centre claiming the 3rd and 2nd prizes, respectively.

In order to further empower the Arju Centres, utility items such as pedestal fans, water filters, drinking glasses, stands, and registers were distributed.

Looking ahead to the academic year 2024-2025, an ambitious Action Plan was outlined, focusing on key areas such as collaboration among Arju Centres, plantation drives, cleanliness and waste segregation, financial literacy, skill training, homeland tours, and the preservation of the mother tongue (Ao language).

The program was chaired by Redesen Imchen, Secretary of Social & Culture, graced with an invocation by Wapangsenla Longkumer, Associate Pastor of Christian Education, and a warm welcome address by Lanutoshi Aier, President of AKM. The subsequent Brainstorming Session, moderated by Longpozem Jamir, stimulated insightful discussions on the review of activities for 2023-2024 and the strategic implementation of the Action Plan for 2024-2025.
