Doctors hailing from Mopungchuket village will return to their roots to provide services at a two-day Free Medical Multispecialty Camp, organized by the Mopungchuket Baptist Church (MBC). The camp, scheduled for August 29 and 30, is being organized as a prelude to the church’s quasquicentennial (125th year) celebration later this year in December.
On August 29, the camp will be held at Impur Christian Hospital, serving the entire Asetkong Range under Mokokchung district, including Impur, Sungratsu, Alongchen, Longpa, Longjang, Longjang Compound, Kobulong, Chami, Khanimo, and Yimchalu. The following day, August 30, the camp will be conducted at Mopungchuket village itself. Needy patients can register through their respective churches by August 22, and the camp will run from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm on both days.
The camp will provide services in General Medicine, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dental, Eye, General Surgery, AYUSH, Homeopathy, and Pediatrics (Child Specialist). In addition, X-ray, blood tests, ECG, ultrasound, and medicines will be provided free of cost.
At least 18 of the 33 doctors from Mopungchuket will participate in the camp, joined by six doctor in-laws. To support the doctors, four healthcare technicians and 23 nurses and health workers will be present.
