ATMA Mokokchung, Chuchuyimlang Block, on 17 May, conducted a Farm School program at Salulamang village. The program aimed to promote and disseminate agricultural technologies, focusing on farmer-to-farmer knowledge transfer.
The program began with a prayer followed by a brief inaugural session. Chubaienla Jamir, ATMA Chuchuyimlang Block, gave an overview of the purpose and objectives of the Farm School. The farm owner, S Meren, who was appointed as the farm teacher, provided a brief history of the orchard’s establishment and conducted training on orange orchard management.
Aolemla Kichu, BTM Chuchuyimlang Block, gave a hands-on demonstration on the preparation and application of waste decomposer, highlighting its uses and benefits. Various agricultural tools, gloves, seeds, waste decomposer, and knapsack sprayers were distributed to the farmers.
A total of 28 farmer-students attended the program.
