Mokokchung, 22 May (MTNews): Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA), Tuli Block, Mokokchung, conducted various activities on 17 and 21 2024 which included the formation of a Food Security Group and a Farm School at Tuli Town and Asangma Village.
The resource persons were Imlisunep Ajem, BTM, and Lanusanen, ATM, ATMA, Tuli Block.
The resource persons covered the importance and functioning of the Food Security Group, and the Farm School on vegetable farming was inaugurated. Lanusanen provided training on vegetable cultivation and its management, soil preparation, crop selection, crop rotation, companion planting, and pest and disease management.
The staff informed the farmers about the importance of organic farming, intercropping, early pest control, and the use of high-yielding, good-quality seeds.
Altogether, 30 farmers were present during the activities.
