Mokokchung, 20 March (MTNews): Officials from the Business Association of Nagas (BAN) met Chairman Ratan Saha and General Secretary Sujit Roy of the All Tripura Merchant’s Association (ATMA) at the BAN Conference Hall in Dimapur on Tuesday, 19 March. The meeting aimed to explore avenues for business development between Nagaland and Tripura while fostering a platform for mutual learning and collaboration.

“Nagaland and Tripura stand poised for a mutually beneficial relationship, with vast potential for the exchange of goods and resources. Both states recognize the opportunity to address each other’s needs and capitalize on untapped market opportunities,” BAN said in a statement received here.

During the meeting, ATMA shed light on the forthcoming Sabroom Land Port, poised to become the gateway to Northeast India. This pivotal infrastructure project promises to streamline transportation across the region and bolster connectivity between Northeast India and Southeast Asia. Additionally, participants underscored the significance of establishing uninterrupted rail linkages between Nagaland and Tripura to facilitate seamless trade and commerce.

“The dialogue between BAN and ATMA signifies a significant step forward in fostering economic cooperation and regional integration. Both parties look forward to further engagements aimed at unlocking the full potential of cross-border trade and collaboration,” BAN said.
