Tenjenmoa Jamir, Proprietor, Nagaland Mines and Minerals unveiled the Basketball Association Mokokchung District’s basketball court at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung on 26 September 2022.
Jamir gave a brief exhortation during which he said that while youngsters have a lot of skill, there aren’t enough opportunities for them to express it.
He went on to say that youngsters’ lack of athletic success was a result of their usage of drugs and alcohol. He continued by urging the BAMD to collaborate in order to establish Mokokchung as the ‘Basketball Capital’ of Nagaland.
An exhibition game between BAMD and Mokokchung Basketball Lovers followed the brief unveiling ceremony.
