The Bharat Darshan program for Nagaland Civil Service (Probationers) 2024 Batch commenced on 9 September 2025 with a one-week attachment at the Institute of Management in Government (IMG), Kerala.
The focus area of the study tour to IMG was good governance and the tourism sector. During the one-week attachment, the probationers interacted with officers of the Kerala Administrative Service, followed by a session on Good Governance – Kerala Perspective.
Field visits included Kerala Art & Craft Village, Start-up Mission, ICAR–Central Tuber Crops Research Institute (ICAR–CTCRI), the Alappuzha Houseboat Project of the District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC), and Kanyakumari—the southernmost tip of mainland India where three major water bodies, the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal, and the Indian Ocean, converge.
The probationers also met world-renowned humanitarian leader Mata Amritanandamayi. Her organisation, the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, carries out charitable activities worldwide, including running one of India’s top-ranked private universities, Amrita University, as well as one of the country’s largest private hospitals, Amrita Hospital.
The probationers will further undergo one-week attachments each at the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), West Bengal, and at the State Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (SIPARD), Tripura.
