The BJP Kiphire District Unit held a programme to mark the completion of 11 years of the Narendra Modi–led BJP government at the Centre, during which party leaders highlighted key achievements of the NDA government in both India and Nagaland.
Addressing the gathering, Tali C. Sangtam, President of BJP Kiphire, said that despite being one of the most remote districts in India, “the people here are receiving the same benefits as people in other parts of the country.” He added that India has become the fourth largest economy in the world under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership.
He went on to list several flagship schemes implemented by the Centre: 81 crore people across India are receiving free monthly grain rations; 15 crore households, including those in Kiphire, have received tap water connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission; 4 crore homes have been constructed under PM Awas Yojana; 60% of Union ministers are from SC, ST, OBC, and minority communities; and 10.33 crore LPG connections have been distributed under the Ujjwala Yojana.
Rothrongse Sangtam, General Secretary of BJP Kiphire, added that 77 crore people are now covered under the Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme, which he said provides free medical care to the poor. He also noted that the government has transferred Rs 3.7 lakh crore to farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme.
“The Modi government has improved infrastructure, defence, farming, and healthcare across the country,” Rothrongse said.
Speaking at the same event, the President of the BJP Mahila Morcha, Kiphire, said that over 90 lakh Self Help Groups (SHGs) have benefited from government support. Expressing optimism, she said, “We believe women will benefit even more in the future.”
