The Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Phoji, has granted permission to JKM Infra Works LLP, Guwahati, Assam, to carry out controlled blasting for road widening at the construction site of the two-lane road between D.E.F Police Church and Yisemyong along NH 61 (New NH 02) in the Angetyongpang Tzu River area.
The blasting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, 2025, between 3:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., with strict adherence to safety protocols. According to the order, the contractor must ensure the safety and security of public life and property along the road. The company is also required to comply with all relevant provisions under the Explosives Act/Rule, 2008.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that JKM Infra Works LLP would be held accountable for any damage to life and property resulting from the blasting activities. The order is effective until March 4, 2025.
