Dimapur, September 18 (MTNews): The Dimapur branch of Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation, Delhi organized 2nd Blood Donation Camp at Rotary Club Dimapur on September 18.
MLA and Advisor, Power Department, Government of Nagaland, H. Tovihoto Ayemi graced the camp and inaugurated the event as the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Tovihoto Ayemi said that it should be the effort of all irrespective of caste, creed or religion to contribute to the social upliftment, relief and rehabilitation of the society.
He appreciated the Dimapur based branch of Sant Nirankari for extending community services of various forms.
He said blood donation is most noble and a precious gift that one can gift to another and encouraged all to donate blood and also to enhance social solidarity through civic commitment.
In the past 36 years, Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has conducted more than 6000 blood donation camp and has donated a record number of 11,58,760 units.
More than 200 individuals donated blood during the day long event.
