Kohima, 01 October (MTNews): The Brillante Piano Festival, a celebration of music and artistry, concluded on Sunday, marking the end of a harmonious and unforgettable musical journey.
From its opening notes to its grand finale, this festival has achieved resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the world of piano music. As the curtains closed on the fourth edition of Brillante, the organizers reflected that the grand success of the Brillante Piano Festival can be measured “not only in the melodies played but in the emotions stirred, the inspiration ignited, and the lasting memories forged.” It has been a source of joy, a platform for artistic expression, and a means of preserving and evolving piano music.
In this edition, the SAM (Specially Abled Musicians) Program was introduced to honor the efforts and spirit of musicians with special needs. The organizers shared that Brillante’s SAM program has not only redefined the boundaries of what it means to be a musician but has also showcased the immense talent and resilience of specially-abled individuals. Through SAM, Brillante has provided a platform for musicians who have overcome incredible odds to share their musical gifts with the world. “SAM has demonstrated that music is a universal language that transcends physical limitations, touching the hearts of audiences and showcasing the incredible power of determination and the human spirit,” the organizers said.
The three-day Brillante Piano Festival concluded on Sunday at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima in the presence of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) Rio said, “Music has the power to transcend all boundaries and unite us. Brillante Piano Festival, which began locally, has a global reach now. I congratulate the team and its founder, Mrs. Khyochano TCK for their dedication. High appreciation for giving platform to persons with disabilities.”
