C-Edge College concluded its 14th Freshers’ Week with a grand finale at the G.K. Auditorium on July 17, marking the end of a week-long celebration that began on July 10 to welcome new students into the college community.

Founder of CAN Youth and General Secretary of the Nagaland Alliance for Children and Women’s Rights, Jenpu Rhakho Rongmei, attended the event as the guest speaker.
The programme began with an invocation by Lipokpenla Ao, followed by a welcome address from Dean of Management Studies Wapanginla Ao. The college choir performed the college song, Believe In Him.
Addressing the freshers, Rongmei encouraged them to “take up space, own their voice, their intellect and their right to be heard.” He also urged students to raise questions and “refuse to let complacency pass for wisdom.”
The programme featured the presentation of annual attendance and academic awards. Khrozo-u Kapfo was felicitated for securing Nagaland University UG Rank 7 in Psychology and received a cash prize of Rs. 5,000. She also shared the Viwhesieno (Tsuno) Award for Girls Topper with Nikhuli Achumi, with both receiving Rs. 5,000. The C-Edge Laurel Award for the highest GPA was presented to Inaka Chophy, Zuthoto Phesa-o, Supriya Patnayak, Imnamongla Longkumer and Nikhuli Achumi.
The event also featured the Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2026 contest, with Tokai Yepthomi and Neamkoe S crowned the winners. B Dolim and Sentienla Jamir were named runners-up, while subtitle awards were presented in the Talented and Ethnic categories. The celebration concluded with musical performances and a vote of thanks by Tsushila Y, Assistant General Secretary of the C-Edge College Students’ Forum.
