‘Excessive chilly consumption causing various diseases’

 

 

CAN Youth in collaboration Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Dimapur organized a medical camp at Community Hall at Phaipijang Village for distributing Ayurveda medicines to the community.

The session was facilitated by Mr. Sentiwati, Program Manager, Can Youth where he shared about the skills and opportunities being provided by the NGO and highlighted about the program.
Dr Neetu. S. Mohan from Regional Ayurveda Research Centre spoke on the lifestyle disorder management and maintaining a healthy diet. Speaking on the food habits of the northeast people, she shared that consumption of chilly is common among the North Eastern people. She also mentioned about the disadvantages of excessive chilly consumption causing various diseases like gastritis, blood pressure etc. She advised the community people to minimize chilly intake for our health benefits. She also gave awareness about the usage of medicine without proper consultation which is hazardous for health. Dr. Neetu. S. Mohan explained the benefits of Samsamani Vati and Ashwagandha Ghan Vati and how it must be taken. Samsamani Vati Medicine can be taken for those having gastric, sinus and fever, the benefits of this medicine is that it helps in boosting immunity and Ashwagandha Ghan Vati is good for those suffering from joint and nerves pain.

 

The program was attended by community leaders, youth leaders. A total number of 56 sets of medicines were being distributed to the youths and community members of Phaipijang Village by interns from St. Joseph University.
