Mokokchung, October 21 (MTNews): Canaan Christian Higher Secondary School (CCHSS), Artang ward, Mokokchung celebrated its silver jubilee on Friday in the school premises on the theme, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” with Rev. Dr. Bendang Longkumer, Pastor, Artang Baptist Church as the jubilee theme speaker. He spoke on the theme based on the bible verse Hebrews 12: 2.
Highlights of the celebration included short speeches by John, Proprietor, CCHSS; Ati Mongro, Acting Chairman, Artang Yimden; and Limatongzuk Jamir, President, Ongpangkong Students’ Conference.
A Jubilee Paean “Look unto Him” was presented by the students of CCHSS. The welcome address was given by D.L. Singh, Principal, CCHSS while the vote of thanks was presented by Akumla, Jubilee Convenor. The formal jubilee celebration was followed by jubilee feast and entertainment session attended by alumni, former faculty members, students and parents.
