The Chakhesang Baptist Church Kohima (CBCK) Children Ministry unveiled its 50th anniversary jubilee plaque at the church premises on Friday, marking five decades since its establishment in 1976.
Senior pastor Rev. Dr. Kevekhalo Lasuh unveiled the plaque and congratulated the ministry for 50 years of service to the glory of God. He also thanked the pioneers for sacrificing their time and energy, adding that, through God’s blessings, the ministry had reached this milestone.
Prelou Mero chaired the ceremony, while Surhuveyi Tetseo led the sounding of the jubilee trumpet.
The main jubilee celebration will be held on November 1 from 10 am under the theme “Heritage of Hope,” based on Psalm 127:3-4. Speakers will include Dr. Adela Mero of Rainbow Academy Resource Centre, Dimapur, and Vekuthonu Perikala, a missionary at Dharamsala and former CBCK Children Ministry superintendent.
Rev. Khrotso Mero will release the jubilee souvenir during the morning service.
