The Centre Chakhesang Public Organization (CCPO), Phek, Nagaland, has approved the change of nomenclature from Centre Chakhesang Sports Association (CCSA) to Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation (CCYO).

The approval was issued by Pupohu Lohe following “careful review and deliberations” during a general executive meeting held on March 18, 2026 at Sakraba Town.
A programme in this regard was held on May 2 at Town Hall, Sakraba, where blessings were pronounced by Pukhuhu Dzudo and a dedicatory prayer was offered by Kuduhuto Dazo.
According to the official order, the association will henceforth be known as the Centre Chakhesang Youth Organisation (CCYO). It clarified that the approval pertains only to the change of name, while the aims, objectives and legal structure under the existing constitution will remain unchanged.
The CCPO has directed the organisation to update all official records, including bank accounts, letterheads, seals and registration documents, within 30 days. The newly named body will inherit all assets, liabilities and ongoing commitments of the former association.
The organisation is expected to continue its work in youth development, sports, cultural activities and community service, while also taking on a larger role in addressing law and order issues in coordination with village authorities and the CCPO.
The programme was led by Thuvoswuyi Lohe, while the invocation was offered by Zhovetso Keroh.
