Tuensang, 12 June (MTNews): Chang Wedoshi Setshang, the apex Chang students’ organization, has made a request to the state School Education Department to halt the repair work on eight classrooms at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Thangjam, and allocate the funds towards the construction of a new building instead.
In a press release issued today, the students’ union also called for a written commitment from the department to upgrade Government High School (GHS) Hakushang to GHSS.
The union has urged the department to meet their demand by Tuesday, stating that failure to do so will result in the commencement of the second phase of their protest from Wednesday.
