In commemoration of World Health Day 2025, Community Health Center (CHC) Dhansiripar, led by Dr Weri Mero, Dental Surgeon, observed World Oral Health Month throughout March 2025 under the theme ”A happy mouth is a happy mind.”

During the month-long observation, Dr Mero and his team organized oral healthcare awareness camps and visited schools under Dhansiripar Block. In addition to dental examinations, fluoride treatments to prevent cavities, tooth extractions, and temporary fillings were also performed. Dr Mero emphasized the importance of dental hygiene in maintaining overall health and highlighted the negative impacts of tobacco products, particularly smoking and chewing gutkha. Proper tooth-brushing techniques were also demonstrated during the camp.

The oral health camps aimed to educate the public and students about the significance of maintaining good dental hygiene, with an understanding that gum disease can increase the risk of major health issues. A painting competition and a slogan writing competition were also held for students.

The team visited three schools and organized awareness camps for ASHAs, Community Health Officers, and local communities under Dhansiripar Block.
