Ao folk-fusion and gospel singer and songwriter Chubatsur Jamir released her third album titled, ‘Ainaro’ on November 29 at the conference hall of the East Dimapur Ao Baptist Arogo (EDABA). The album was formally released by Nungdokyanger Ao, President, Ao Kaketshir Mundang (AKM).

The album is titled after the rose flower and, according to the singer, it reflects the brevity of life on earth. The album was created in memory of her beloved father, Late T. Sashi Jamir, who passed away in May of this year. Written and composed by the singer herself, this is her third album after a gap of 5 years.

Ainaro has nine songs – eight in Ao and one in English – for various occasions such as Christmas, New Years, weddings, and jubilees.

The song titled ‘Kü Mein Oba’ is a tribute to her father while ‘Ao Kaket Rijuchanger’ is dedicated to her brother Longpozem Jamir and his team.

Meanwhile, Nungdokyanger Ao, President of AKM, expressed his excitement about the album’s release. He encouraged everyone to share and promote Jamir’s new album, as well as to continue supporting local talents and songs like Jamir’s, who create beautiful songs in Ao.

The album is available at: AKM Office Mokokchung, Ilandlo Dimapur and Kohima (shop & online), and Fusion Dimapur.
