Chumoukedima, 11 May (MTNews): Chumoukedima Village Council has caught two persons red-handed running a racket of fake documents by forging the name, signature of Chairman, Head GB, including manufacturing of fake Land Registration certificate, letterhead, office seal and printed receipt in the name of Chümoukedima Village Council (CVC).
According to CVC, the two persons have been identified as Merentoba Imsong of Nukshiyim village and Sentimongla Imsong of Yaongyimsen village. Both are residents of Seiurüzha Colony, Ward-8, Chumoukedima Town.
The culprits were handed over to the Chumoukedima Police Station for further enquiry, CVC informed.
The modus operandi of the duo involved “manufacturing fake CVC land registration certificate and acquiring loans by mortgaging the fake documents,” CVC also informed.
The Council has notified that any person(s) or parties “having dealt or in dealing with these criminals are doing so at their own risks, and shall be held fully responsible if found indulging in any illegal acts relating to Chumoukedima Village Council and any land registration documents.”
CVC also said that any person or parties who have made any kind of transaction with the two culprits are requested to inform the Council at the earliest.
