Mokokchung, February 15 (MTNews): Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphui Rio, the chief campaigner for NDPP during his speech at the candidature declaration of Temjenmenba, NDPP candidate, 29 Jangpetkong AC at Mangkolemba Sub-division headquarters said the NDPP party wanted to contest in all the 60 assembly constituencies but obliged to the proposal of BJP party high command to go for 40:20 seat sharing partnership.
Addressing the gathering at Mangkolemba public ground, Neiphiu Rio said that the BJP party at the Centre has immense respect for the Nagas and their unique history and was satisfied with the performance of the BJP- NDPP alliance for bringing all round development and stability in the state.
He also shared his beliefs that the BJP-NDPP alliance will win a minimum of forty seats in the forthcoming general elections and after which a common minimum program for all round development will be implemented after coming to power next month.
He also asked the gathering to desist from violence and cast their vote for Temjenmenba, the NDPP candidate from 29 Jangpetkong AC for all round development in the area and Mangkolemba in particular.
Short speeches were also delivered by Metsubo Jamir, star campaigner NDPP and Imolemba Jamir, President BJP Mokokchung district.
CM Neiphiu Rio lauds NDPP candidate Tongpang Ozukum
Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio said on Wednesday that the NDPP candidate for the 24 Angetyongpang AC, Tongpang Ozukum, has the capacity to be a leader not only for the constituency but for all of Nagaland.
Speaking at the declaration program of NDPP candidate Tongpang Ozukum at Langpangkong Tzükong GHS Play Ground, Chuchuyimlang, Rio also said that it was with this belief that the NDPP central leadership decided to allot the party ticket for 24 Angetyongpang AC to Tongpang Ozukum.
The Chief Minister, who is also the Chief Campaigner for NDPP, shared that the work experience he had with Tongpang Ozukum over the years was very satisfactory.
The NDPP-BJP pre-poll alliance is expected to win 40-45 seats in the coming 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly general elections, Rio stated.
In addition, Rio encouraged the residents of Chuchuyimlang Town to vote for Tongpang Ozukum, the NDPP candidate, so that they might join the ranks of the victors. Further, he assured the residents of Chuchuyimlang Village that the government will expeditiously establish an astroturf field illuminated by high-mast floodlight.
Tongpang Ozukum stated that while the government will be formed within three weeks, it is up to the people of Angetyongpang AC to decide if they want to be on the winning side.
“I won the election last time because of your love and support, and I need your vote again this time. If elected, I will work for the development of Angetyongpang AC and the entire Nagas,” he assured.
