Chumoukedima, 30 November (MTNews): Nagaland is aggressively pursuing setting up a planned city – the Nagaki Global City – stated Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, extending invitations to the Ministry of Rural Development and corporate entities to explore investment opportunities in Nagaland and the broader North East Region. Rio assured interested investors of a conducive environment provided by the State Government.

The Chief Minister made these remarks at the Regional CXO Meet 2023, hosted by the Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM) under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) at Noune Resort, Chumoukedima, on Friday.

Acknowledging Northeast India as the gateway to neighboring Southeast Asian countries, Rio said the Government of India is creating opportunities in the region like never before and asserted that it will be “advantageous” for those companies who invest and set up units in the region ahead of others.

“Opportunities are abound in the region,” emphasized the Chief Minister.

The Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction at the scale of employers converging in the State for the regional CXO Meet adding that such events strengthen the Government of India’s commitment towards the Act East Policy.

He called the DDU-GKY programs ‘noble’ stating that the rural youths of NE India are getting opportunities to work in multi-national companies and also in foreign countries after getting the exposure of working in metro cities across the country through their initiative.
