Rio also mentioned that the NDA government had elevated the Naga political issue by signing the Framework Agreement and the Agreed Position with the Naga political groups. Speaking at the NDA election campaign at Agri Expo today, Rio stated that all political parties in the state had united for a solution to the Naga political problem, emphasizing that this would only be possible under the NDA government led by the BJP.

He added that after the elections, the state political affairs committee would engage with civil society organizations and Naga political groups to resolve the issues conclusively.

Rio noted that the opposition Congress party criticized the NDPP and particularly the BJP for suppressing minorities in the country. He countered by saying that the BJP’s alliances with small parties in 18 states indicated its concern for minorities. Chief Minister Rio further asserted that supporting other parties demonstrated a secular and inclusive approach by the largest democratic party.
