Wokha, December 13 (MTNews): Christian Model High School (CMHS) Wokha on Tuesday celebrated its Golden Jubilee on the theme “Arise and shine in God’s faithfulness” with Dr. Chumben Murry MLA and Advisor, Law and Justice, government of Nagaland as the special guest.
Dr. Murry speaking during the 50 years celebration said that “jubilee is a diverse celebration but it is a time to retrospect on what had happened in the past years, and to keep counting the precious things that had been accomplished over the years and reminding them to be calculative on things yet to be done.”
He said that though the Naga society has evolved and literacy rate of Naga society has rose immensely, there is much more room for improvement, where he stated that education shall result in crystallization of adoption of certain principles that are important; ethics, integrity, responsibility, respect for law, respect for other people’s rights, work loving and to strive for investment and punctuality, which according to him were the attitudes that refines and determines education.
He urged the teaching faculty to imbibe those qualities to their students so that they deliver the true meaning of education. He called upon the school faculties to be resilient in delivering true education as the generation continues to evolve while he also prayed and wished the institution to produce good leaders of tomorrow.
Earlier in the program Dr. Murry also released the CMHS 50 years souvenir. Rev. Dr. Imchayanger Walling, Sr. Pastor, Ao Revival Church Dimapur shared a message on the theme “Arise and shine in God’s faithfulness.” He said that every individual needs to rise up from failures, dis-couragements, shortcomings, weaknesses and hindrances by looking to God on what he can do for them.
He challenged the congregation to rise for a greater height and achievement and not to let their failure be a source of discouragement but to let in the grace of God which will make them humble for more blessings. He said that greatest discovery of a person in life is the will of God and purpose of God in life, where he called to look in the faithfulness of God, while he called the students and the congregation to identify their talent that each and every individual are been blessed with and used it to glorify God in life.
Earlier in the program, unveiling of the jubilee monolith and dedication was done by Rev. Zanao Mozhui, Pastor LBCD, with a welcome address delivered by Serena Murry, administrator CMHS. The program was chaired by Lawrence Humtsoe and Wonchibeni Ngullie.
