The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has strongly condemned the recent bomb blast in Chümoukedima district that claimed the life of a security personnel and left four others seriously injured.

In a press statement issued through its Media Affairs cell, the apex business body expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the speedy and complete recovery of the injured personnel.

Describing the incident as a “reprehensible act of violence,” the CNCCI said the attack was a direct assault on the peace, stability and sense of security that the people of Nagaland have painstakingly nurtured over the years.

The chamber noted that Nagaland has endured decades of hardship and conflict before collectively embracing the path of peace, dialogue and development, and asserted that no individual or group should be allowed to derail the state’s hard-earned peace through acts of violence.

Stressing that lasting peace is essential for economic growth, employment generation, investment, tourism and the overall development of Nagaland, the CNCCI urged law enforcement and investigating agencies to leave no stone unturned in identifying, apprehending and bringing those responsible for the blast to justice.

The business body also expressed encouragement over the authorities’ intensified investigation efforts and voiced confidence that every effort would be made to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable in accordance with the law.

Calling for unity, the CNCCI appealed to citizens to cooperate with the authorities and collectively uphold peace, harmony and the rule of law, while asserting that the people of Nagaland would not allow the state’s hard-earned peace to be undermined by such acts of violence.
