Mokokchung, February 15(MTNews): A common platform and candidature declaration for candidates of 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency for Imkongmar from Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), S Supongmeren Jamir from Indian National Congress (INC) and Moasangba Jamir from Naga People’s Front (NPF) was organized by Majakong Ward Yimden at Community Hall, Majakong ward.

 

 

Moasangba Jamir during his address stated that NPF is the oldest regional party with its purpose to serve the Naga people and added that if given the peoples’ mandate, he would work towards empowering youths through skill development and understanding the needs of the people whilst emphasizing on transparency and equal development for everyone.

 

S Supongmeren Jamir during his address stated that the understanding of the Congress party is secular and that numerous changes are needed to be brought in Nagaland adding that he, if given the chance, would make the people avail all applicable governmental schemes to empower the citizens of the constituency with a goal to bring change and development both in the rural and urban areas.

 

In his address to the people, Imkongmar citing the slogan of the NDPP party ‘Facta Non Verba’ stated that if the people give their mandate, he would do everything in his capacity to bring all round development inclusive of the party’s manifesto that gives importance to youth empowerment, gender equality and inclusive of equal opportunities; he also highlighted on schemes to empower the youth and make them sustainable and gave an overview on the Micro Financing Scheme (MSME)

 

During the program, a dedicatory prayer for the candidates was delivered by Rev Wati, Associate Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo.
