Mokokchung, February 13 (MTNews): A ‘common platform’ and prayer program for candidates of 26 Aonglenden Assembly Constituency, Sharingain Longkumer from NDPP and Toshikokba Longkumer from Congress, was held at Yimtsüngta Arok Sapang at Ungma Village on Monday organized by Ungma Baptist Arogo Laishir Telongjem.

During a brief ‘common platform’ address, Sharingain Longkumer stated that his vision for the people of 26 Aonglenden Assembly Constituency is to have youth and women empowerment, sustainable development and digital empowerment and revive socio economic upliftment from the grassroots level through targeted intervention, human resource development and progressive sustainable development.

 

Toshipokba Longkumer also shared his vision for the people of 26 Aonglenden Assembly Constituency and stated that his vision is to make people live peacefully. He further added that if given the peoples’ mandate he would help the people through all the applicable governmental schemes to develop infrastructure and beautification of the constituency.

 

During the program a dedicatory prayer for the candidates was delivered by Rev Dr Noklen Longkumer, Pastor, Ungma Baptist Church.

 

Later in the day, a similar program was organized by Youth Association Artang Ward for 25 Mongoya Assembly Constituency for Imkongmar from NDPP, S Supongmeren Jamir from Congress and Moasangba Jamir from NPF at Community Hall, Artang ward.

 

S Supongmeren Jamir during his address stated that the ideology of the Congress party is secularism and that numerous changes are needed to be brought in Nagaland and thus 21 candidates from Congress are contesting in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election with a common goal of bringing change and development both in the rural and urban areas.

 

In his address to the people, Imkongmar citing the slogan of the NDPP party ‘Facta Non Verba’ stated that if the people give their mandate, he would do everything in his capacity to bring all round development inclusive of the party’s’ manifesto that gives importance to youth empowerment, gender equality and inclusive of equal opportunities for all. He further urged the candidates to work hand in hand even after the election culminates.

 

Moasangba Jamir during his address stated that NPF is the oldest regional party with its purpose to serve the Naga people and added that if given the peoples’ mandate, he would work hand in hand with the people to bring development by seeking and implementing all applicable government schemes.

 

During the program, a dedicatory prayer for the candidates was delivered by Rev Dr Bendang Longkumer, Pastor, Artang Baptist Church.
