Mokokchung, 25 August (MTNews): In an effort to strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the local community, Police Station-I and II in Mokokchung organized a two-day Community Outreach Program on 24 and 25 August. The outreach aimed to foster a sense of collaboration and coordination between the police and the public to collectively address critical issues plaguing society, such as drug addiction, smuggling, cyber safety, protection of women and children, theft, and drunken driving.

The event witnessed participation of residents, including the ward Chairmen, secretaries, and other prominent community members. The engagement served as a platform for these stakeholders to exchange perspectives and discuss ways to collectively combat the rising challenges faced by the district, an update from the Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung said.

 

 

During the program, the attending police officials highlighted the significance of a joint approach in maintaining law and order. They stressed the importance of community involvement in the prevention and detection of various crimes to ensure the overall safety and tranquility of the district while the community members also expressed their concerns and observations.
