Kohima, February 22 (MTNews): Congress leader and MP Shashi Tharoor on his first visit to Nagaland talked to the media and public at Congress Bhavan, Kohima today. He stressed on how basic developments such as electricity, roads and water have not been addressed by the ruling government, particularly in rural areas.

He also discussed issues such as medical college, High Court and urged the people to ask questions to the government and hold the government accountable.

 

Tharoor further highlighted how BJP has a ‘narrow monolithic ideology’ and discussed how the party has had a ‘shameful series of attacks on minorities’ including the churches in Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand etc.
