The Office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner in Jalukie, Peren District, has officially recommended the establishment of a new district, Jalukie, carved out from the existing Peren district. According to Additional Deputy Commissioner TL Kiusumong Tikhir, the proposal, presented by the Jalukie District Demand Committee, aligns with the government’s vision for decentralized governance and aims to enhance public service and promote inclusive development.
In a letter dated October 3, 2024, Additional Deputy Commissioner TL Kiusumong Tikhir expressed enthusiasm for the proposal, stating, “The creation of Jalukie district will significantly improve governance, public services and better quality of life and opportunities for its citizens. I consider this proposal as feasible due to its vast geographical area and dispersed population.”
