The Col CK Nayudu Trophy match between Goa and Nagaland at the Sovima Cricket Ground ended in a draw after four days of competitive cricket. Goa’s first innings saw an imposing total of 459 runs, built around a stellar 164 from Shivendra H Bhujbal, who batted fluently across 213 balls. Chittem Devankumar provided valuable support with a patient 80 off 191 deliveries. Anil Gupta was the pick of the bowlers for Nagaland, claiming 3 wickets for 80 runs.


In reply, Nagaland managed 257 in their first innings. Mughavi Sumi top-scored with a brisk 56 off 62 balls, but the Goa bowlers, led by Shadab Khan with 3 for 87, kept the pressure on. Facing a significant deficit, Nagaland showed resilience in their second innings and declared at 285/7. Yugandhar anchored the innings with 80 runs off 169 balls, while Mughavi Sumi added another half-century, scoring 57 off 66 deliveries. Goa’s Kaushal Hattangadi and Aryan Ajay Narvekar both took 2 wickets each.

The match ultimately concluded in a draw, with both teams showing moments of quality in an even contest.
