The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced the schedule for the Senior Men’s Inter-District Cricket Tournament 2023.
After recently winning the 1st NECDC Interstate Senior Men’s tournament, the state’s Senior Men players will battle it out once again with nonstop entertainment and this time for their respective districts.
The tournament, hosted by the Nagaland Cricket Association starting from 22nd of May, will be played at two venues – Nagaland Cricket Stadium and Sovima Cricket Ground.
The tournament will be an interesting affair as the young districts will try to repeat their recent Under-19 boys’ feat where Chumukedima got crowned champions and Niuland won the 1st runners-up. Or, will the older districts like cricket ‘powerhouse’ Dimapur continue their dominance in the Senior Men’s category?
Cricket fans and lovers of the game can check out the tournament from the comfort of their homes as the tournament will be telecasted live at Nagaland Cricket Association YouTube channel with the CricHeroes team covering the event at Nagaland Cricket Stadium.
Meanwhile, the Mokokchung District Cricket Association (MDCA) is in the process of selecting the players to represent the district in the tournament after a two-day trial cum selection camp. MDCA is expected to announce the team on Tuesday.
Mokokchung is grouped in Pool-A which also features Niuland, Kiphire and Phek districts.
