Mokokchung, March 20 (MTNews): The C/173 Bn Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Mokokchung as part of the Civic Action Program distributed 33 water storage tanks to Government Middle School Khensa, needy people of Khensa Village and Chuchuyimpang village residing near deployment of C/173 Bn at Mokokchung on Monday.

 

 

 

The distribution of water storage tanks was held during a brief formal program at the Coy Headquarters at DEF Camp, Chuchuyimpang, Mokokchung on Monday.

 

Ashok Kumar Yadav, Commandant of 173 Bn CRPF during his address informed that Civic Action Program is conducted annually by CRPF in which needy people and institutions are provided various essential items which are beneficial for them in their daily lives. He further elucidated that the Civil Action Program bridges the gap between security forces and the local populace.

 

During a brief address, Nokchasashi, GB Khensa Village and Talikumla, Amenyong Khensa Mahila Group expressed their appreciation towards the CRPF for their continued support towards the upliftment of the community and lauded the security forces for strengthening the bonds of friendship whilst also urging for the same in the future working together hand in hand.

 

Earlier, Cuthbert Tongsin Anal, Assistant Commandant gave the welcome address while Inspector Nelson Singsit delivered the vote of thanks.

 

The program was also graced with the presence of Uma Shankar Verma, Chief Medical Officer of 173 Bn CRPF, Alemmeren, Chairman Khensa Village Council and Temsumoa, Chairman Chuchuyimpang village Council.
