The Chakhroma Youth Organization (CYO) and Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) on October 23, 2024, held a coordination meeting at the CPO Hall in Chümoukedima. The meeting “unanimously reaffirmed the joint resolution passed by the Chakhroma Public Organization and Western Sumi Hoho on July 17, 2020,” which restrains members from forming or affiliating with any other organisation without the express consent of their respective parent organization.
During the meeting, the organizations reaffirmed joint resolution which serves to “promote organizational integrity by ensuring that our members remain fully committed to the objectives of Chakhroma Youth Organization and Western Sumi Youth Front.”
The leaders asserted that forming or affiliating with other organizations without approval can create conflicts of interest and detract from their collective efforts. They further explained that the prohibition of unauthorized affiliations ensures their focus remains undivided and that the energy of their members is channeled toward achieving our shared common goals of peace and prosperity.
Additionally, the resolution ensured that members remain accountable to the structures and guidelines set forth by the apex bodies, stating, “All activities and affiliations should be transparent and in alignment with the vision of the parent organizations.”
Reiterating their commitment, the organizations declared, “No members of Chakhroma Youth Organization and Western Sumi Youth Front shall be allowed to form or affiliate with any organization without first seeking and obtaining the written consent of their respective parent apex body.”
The leadership expressed confidence in their members, saying, “We trust that all members will respect and uphold this resolution as a demonstration of their commitment to the growth and unity of our organizations.”
