The team inspected Kohima-Dimapur 4-lane package 3, Kohima Bypass, Kohima–Mao, and Kohima town roads. During the inspection, potholes, uneven surfaces, and unkempt foliage were observed and flagged by the team to NHIDCL and NPWD, respectively, including the installation of signages and line markings.

DC Kohima advised NHIDCL and NPWD to ensure a comfortable and safe ride quality for all NH roads from Kiruphema to Khuzama, keeping in mind the forthcoming Hornbill festival. DC also highlighted the dilapidated bridge at Peducha Dzudza and other minor bridges along the Kohima–Mao road. The team also visited the sinking zones at various locations. Clearing of soil, mud, rocks debris, and beautification of the National highway were also impressed upon NHIDCL and NPWD.

The team also visited the ongoing Kohima bypass tunnel construction and T. Khel model village road connecting NH 39 (Old) to NH 61 (Old).
Traffic management and alternate routes for easing traffic congestion, particularly during the Hornbill festival, were also explored and verified by SP Kohima.
