Dimapur, 5 October (MTNews): The Second MS Ahluwalia Memorial 3×3 Basketball Tournament is scheduled to take place from 26 to 28 October 2023 at the JV Foundation Basketball Court in Signal Angami, Dimapur. This tournament is jointly organized by the Dimapur District Basketball Association (DDBA) and the Nagaland Basketball Association, and it welcomes registrations for both men and women categories. The competition will follow a league-cum-knockout format.
Champions of the tournament will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 30,000 while the runners-up will win a prize of Rs 15,000. Additionally, the Most Valuable Players (MVPs) will receive a cash award of Rs. 5,000 along with citations.
According to DDBA, the registration fee is Rs 2,000 and the last date for registration is 20 October 2023. It was mentioned that, as per the FIBA 3×3 regulations, all team players must be eligible at the confirmation date, that is, they must be registered on the FIBA 3×3 digital platform at https://play.fiba3x3.com.
NBA will guide through this process; however, it was informed that the registration process requires the personal email addresses of each individual player. Therefore, it is strongly advised that the players do the registration themselves.
