As the deadline set by the Civil Society Organization Mangkolemba (CSOM) expired on 10 September 2023 concerning the deplorable condition of the Longnak-Mangkolemba road, the ADC of Mangkolemba, T Langkosen Tsanglao, informed this newspaper that the company’s in-charge has informed him that “some workers and machines are already on-site and will be engaged in road maintenance, preconstruction activities, etc.”
It may be recalled that a meeting was convened on 4 September 2023 in the ADC’s office chamber in Mangkolemba with the Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), the Executive Engineer (PWD), and community representatives from the Mangkolemba subdivision, represented by the Civil Society Organization Mangkolemba (CSOM). During the meeting, the Executive Engineer (PWD R&B) assured that the project’s progress would be diligently monitored, with updates provided by the concerned contractor every 15 days.
