District Education Officer (DEO), Kiphire, M. Narola Longkumer, visited PM SHRI GHS Yangphi on June 22. She was accompanied by Tiyaba Sangtam, Office Assistant at the DEO Office, Kiphire.
During the visit, a coordination meeting was held with the teaching staff of the school. The DEO interacted with the teachers and discussed measures to improve the quality of education and students’ academic performance.
Addressing the staff, Longkumer encouraged teachers to be sincere, dedicated and committed to their responsibilities. She emphasised that academic success is not achieved in isolation but through the collective efforts of teachers, students, parents and the community.
She also advised teachers to conduct remedial classes and organise study hours to support slow learners and enhance students’ academic performance. Stressing the importance of regular monitoring, proper guidance and continuous support, she urged the staff to work towards achieving better educational outcomes.
The staff members assured the DEO of their full cooperation and commitment to improving the overall academic standards of the school.
