Lumami, August 28 (MTNews): Department of Sociology, Nagaland University, Lumami organized a One Day State Level Orientation Program on CBCS Curriculum on 26th August for the college faculties of the State. Head of the Department, Prof Athungo Ovung welcomed all the participants and briefly discussed the new changes in the organization of Sociology syllabus and course material under CBCS Curriculum Guidelines.

 

He mentioned the framing of Core Papers, AECC and SEC courses. Prof. M.K. Sinha, Dean of School of Social Sciences inaugurated the program and emphasized upon the significance of the Orientation Program for Teaching Community. Faculty member of Sociology Department, Dr. Dipika Paul chaired the inaugural session. Dr. Nazim chaired the First Technical Session and Dr. Suraj Beri presented on the pedagogical and theoretical underpinnings of the Core and SEC Courses. Prof. Ovung distributed the certificates to all the participants and Dr. Y. Srikanth gave the vote of thanks.
